Appointment Options
Patients have access to a face to face or telephone appointment with a doctor or nurse normally within 2 days.
Patients also have the appointment option to book at least 4-8 weeks in advance.
You can express a preference of doctor of whom you wish to see for consultation, however, this is also dependent upon availability.
If a doctor of your choice is not available you will be offered the next available appointment with another doctor.
We would ask you to inform us if for some reason you are unable to attend your appointment as missed appointments make it difficult for others to see a doctor.
To book an appointment with us by phone, please call 01274 566617.
Telephone Appointments
If you feel that you that you just need to speak to a doctor or nurse rather than having a face to face appointment please ask the receptionist to book you a telephone appointment.
The best time to speak to a GP is after they have completed their morning surgery or before their afternoon surgery starts.
The reception staff will arrange for a GP to call you on your specified telephone/mobile number.
Urgent Appointments
If patients feel that their condition is urgent they can ring the practice at 8am for an urgent on the day appointment to be seen in a doctor’s morning or afternoon surgery.
This appointment system has been put in place so that patients who feel that they need to be seen urgently are seen on the day by a doctor.
Cancelling or changing an appointment
If you can not make your appointment let us know as soon as you can so another patient can book the appointment time. You can cancel or change your appointment:

To use this service we ask for your consent to share your medical record and our reception staff will explain what this means and why it is necessary.
If you need help when we are closed

- Out of hours information
- If it’s a life-threatening emergency call 999.

Home Visits
We are flexible in our surgery times to fit patient schedules where possible, and we do home visits as well, especially when providing elderly and palliative care.
Remember that we can see several patients at the practice in the time it takes for one home visit. Patients should have their appointment at the surgery if they can.
Lack of transport is not a reason to request a home visit.
